The original is by Tom Paxton.
That was fantastic! I was lookin’ for the original, not sure who sings it, anyhow you had me singing along and stampin’ my feet.
where is the tom paxton original version? it’s been taken off youtube! i hope it gets put back on there! ps this guy does it well
im so drunknstoned but pharfronpukin its rick-dick-u-lous.
ok , my bad, tom paxtom composed this song, but he fireballs did this song in 1968 , now!, i dont know if tom was involved wiht the fireballs or if they just covered it, but thats the version i like the best, its not on here and i want to put it on here if no-ome beats me too it.
????????
my bad,,,,,i mean i like the fireballs version 1968 best,,,,,thats rock and roll
not bad, but it needs more enthusium, i like that third verse its not in toms 1968 version
fantstic song!i knew the words from an ol folk songbook but i never knew how the melody went!
That’s because it was written in English! Trust the French to claim the song Tom Paxton wrote about alcohol as one of their folk songs!
There’s a couple of Tom’s songs that have been ‘claimed’ by countries. Will have to dig out the recording of last years gig where he mentioned one.
Much better in english than in french ! It is called “J’aime le vin j’aime le raisin…” Well done, great thanks
Yes yes I love this song.
